Initially what we call a dress was a piece of clothing for both men and women alike. It was made with sleeves and was worn as everyday clothing for all social classes. Only later did the skirt develop into the shape we recognize today.

The ankle long "Anna" skirt is built with a wide, comfortable waistband. The lacing at the back can be used to adjust the garment to the individual wearer’s body. Rough canvas provides the necessary durability for LARP events and medieval markets.

When combined with the blouse and bodice from the "Anna" series, this costume provides an excellent basis for a tavern maiden‘s dress. As usual, any accessory added will serve to add personality to this simple costume and really make it yours.
